Student Housing consisting of a 20 story 205 unit (825 bed) development located in Boston completed in 2019. Privately owned and operated student housing development. The permitting and approvals process involved significant coordination with key University, City and community officials given the site’s location at the edge of the Northeastern campus adjacent to the West Roxbury community. Key challenges included environmental remediation, deep foundations, FAA requirements, limited area for mobilization, abutting buildings requiring underpinning and monitoring during construction, and strict completion timeline due to student leasing cycle. 100% pre-leased during construction. Services included Product Positioning, Architectural Design/Permitting in conjunction with Elkus Manfredi Architects.
